Fraud causes problems for Upper Michigan residents

The Marquette Community Federal Credit Union reported on Friday afternoon that signature-based transactions in Michigan have been blocked.

This announcement is in response to recent fraud detected in the Detroit area, according to the credit union. Pin-based transactions will still work properly.

The credit union says that they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible but have no resolution at this time.

The U.P. Catholic Credit Union and Range Bank are reporting the same issue with signature-based transactions.

We will provide any updates on this issue as information becomes available.
