If you're registered for FinnFest 2013, there's another perk you can add to the list. The cities of Hancock and Houghton are offering free public transportation on the city buses for all registered FinnFest guests.
The buses will run through June 22 from 7 a.m. to midnight, and on Sunday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you'd like to utilize the buses, you can call either transit system and inform them of your lodging address.
In addition, shuttle services will be offered between Michigan Tech's Student Development Complex and the MTU Memorial Union Building.
"It's definitely a good idea because otherwise you're stuck in traffic, not moving, everybody's being frustrated. But you can just get on the bus and let them do the driving," said Ken Nevins, a FinnFest participant.
In order to ride for free, you must show your FinnFest ID.
