Thursday was certainly one of the nicest days we've had in a while and many of people took advantage of that in Negaunee.
There were many beachgoers out today on Teal Lake. The water might have been a little chilly, but that didn't stop anyone from taking a little dip. Those that decided not to swim, laid out on the beach or even headed out on the lake in a kayak.
"Our summers are short here in the Upper Peninsula so we figured we would take the kids out for a good swim and it's a quiet, small beach," says beachgoer Sarah Amis. "A lot of the people we know come down and we like to visit."
As the weather continues to warm, more and more people should be catching rays on beaches across the U.P. This is a welcome sight to many on the beach after plenty of ice continued to linger on Lake Superior just a few weeks ago.
