Triple A of Michigan reports gas prices are down slightly from last week.
In the latest survey, the statewide average is $3.50 per gallon for self serve regular. This is a drop of about nine cents from last week, and seven cents from a year ago. This drop reflects a national trend towards lower gas prices. This despite declines in domestic refinery production and international tensions in oil producing countries.
In Michigan, Triple A releases weekly price averages by region. This week, the lowest regional price is Lansing/East Lansing at $3.40 a gallon. The Marquette region, averaging all the gas stations across the Upper Peninsula, is the highest in the state at about $3.60. Individual stations will vary.
