      Get pink'd!

The White House Tavern and Grill in Iron Mountain will become pink on Thursday. Itâ??s an event that's seeking to raise money for the Dickinson County Cancer Loan Closet.

The White House is teaming up with Salon 323 in Iron Mountain to raise money by offering food and drink specials, as well as gift baskets and raffle prizes.

Additionally, Salon 323 is selling pink hair extensions for five dollars as part of the fundraiser. Each year, they increase their goal amount of money they'd like to raise. â??Our goal every year, we increase by a thousand dollars,â?? said hairstylist, Bobbi Peterson. â??Going on our fourth year, we are trying to beat $5,000 during this year, and we always feel pretty invincible here at the salon, so we will beat it, so we're excited about that.â??

The hair extensions will be offered throughout the entire month of October, and the event on Thursday at the White House is from 5 until 9 p.m. The restaurant is located at 912 Carpenter Avenue in Iron Mountain.
