It wouldn't be Easter without a big Easter egg hunt. Luckily the Lions Club of Chocolay Township did not fail to impress. The club held their 13th annual Easter egg hunt at the Silver Creek Church in Chocolay Township Saturday morning.
Over one hundred kids participated in the event that saw everyone receiving prizes and candy. That wasn't the only excitement on the day; food, refreshments, a free vision screening, and even the Easter Bunny were there to make it quite an event.
"What we do, we raise our money and we put it right back into the community. We don't keep it, we donâ??t go on any junkets or anything like that. We take care of the people," said Pete LaRue of the Chocolay Township Lions Club.
The Easter egg hunt wouldn't be possible without donations from local businesses.
