A Girl Scout troop from Ishpeming painted peace signs at Hot Plate in Marquette on Saturday.
The peace signs will decorate tables during a fundraising event for the Women's Center in Marquette. The center, which has helped victims of sexual and domestic abuse, is celebrating 40 years. The peace sign coincides with the fundraiser's '70s theme.
Girl Scouts from Troop 50-60 picked out their favorite colors and began painting.
"I'm just using my imagination. I like the colors and I just love painting most of all," said Nevaeh Sellman, Girl Scout.
"I'm painting the opposite of each in the middle and around," said Cora Nicholas, Girl Scout.
Over 100 peace signs will be painted.
