General Motors has added more vehicles to its list of recalls. .
The company informed the National Highway Traffic Aafety Administration of five safety recalls covering 2.7 million vehicles. That brings GM's total recalled vehicles to more than 8.5 Million for 2014 in theU.S. alone. Automakers are moving faster now to notify consumers about problems, after GM admitted earlier this year to knowing for more than a decade about an ignition switch problem on some of its vehicles.
The latest recalls involve 2014 Chevrolet Malibus, 2013-2014 Cadillac CTS models, 2014-2015 full sized trucks and previous generation Chevrolet Corvettes.
