Golf outing raises money for Bay Cliff Health Camp

The eighth annual Bay Cliff Golf Outing was Thursday at the Greywalls Golf Course in Marquette.

36 teams of four played in the shotgun style outing to raise money for the Bay Cliff Health Camp. All of the funds will provide therapy and activities for the children at Bay Cliff Camp and offset the cost of housing, food and recreation.

"What really impresses me about this golf tournament is the way the community turns out and responds," says Tim Bennett, camp director. "We always have all of the teams and all of the spots filled. People from across the U.P. and beyond come to participate just because it's for Bay Cliff."

Those playing in the tournament had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the teen program at Bay Cliff and discuss some of the activities available at the camp.

Organizers anticipate raising over $30,000 for Bay Cliff.
