Golfers teed up Friday at Fox Run Golf Course for a good cause: to honor veterans.
For the 17th year in a row, the golf course put on its charity tournament for the Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette. Organizers didn't bother advertising much for the outing because the past few tournaments have been so successful, and this year wasn't any different.
Out of the 128 golfers there Friday, 123 of them were repeat players.
"I spent 23 years and 9 months in the Air Force, so I went in at a very young age," said Garry Henshaw, an organizer. "This has been my whole life, either becoming a vet or knowing vets, so it's just something I feel obligated to do. It's been my whole life."
Each year, the outing brings in about $7,000 for the home.
