A new exhibit opened Wednesday at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center in the Peter White Public Library. It's called "Good Night Analog," and artist Kristine Granger says the work comes from experiences many of us have shared, including the nightly sign-off TV stations used to end the broadcast day. She hopes everyone who sees her work will take away something that can stir their own personal memories.
"When you have this collective memory, it's sort of a trigger that then unveils sort of this personal memory that's behind it," said Granger.
Much of Granger's inspiration for her work came from the transition from analog to digital television in 2009 and a short film she created called "Place Between Sleep and Dreams." Granger's art will be on display at the Marquette Arts and Culture Center through January 27.
