The Great Lakes Recovery Centers officially opened their facility at its new location on Tuesday. The center now houses outpatient services as well as human resources and executive offices at the Tobin Center in Ishpeming. The GLRC provides behavioral health services like rehabilitation, residential and counseling services and preventative programming in schools. The CEO of the center says the future for behavioral health services looks very bright.
"The importance for behavioral health services is only going to grow in light of the Affordable Care Act," CEO Greg Toutant said. "We are poised to be able to provide some much needed services to those in our communities."
The GLRC had a ribbon cutting ceremony, reception and gave tours of the new facility as part of the open house.
