Families struggling with high heating bills have some relief thanks to the Alger-Marquette Community Action Board.
The state has allocated an additional $350,000 to AMCAB. The money is to assist individuals and families needing help with heating bills.
The severity of this winter has called for extra money to be given out, and AMCAB still has some left.
The assistance is for individuals or families who use deliverable heating fuels like propane, coal or wood. There is a 30 day income limit to qualify for the assistance.
