The 36th Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival is coming up next month, and organizers say the line up this year is better than ever!
Hiawatha is a summer celebration of music, crafts, food, and dancing for all.
There are many returning musicians this July, such as Robin and Linda Williams, Susan Werner, and Matt Sayles from Ventucky String Band and Frost Bitten Grass.
Bands Tin Can Gin and Dragon Wagon will provide entertainment for the kids.
"This year at the festival we'll have the teen area again, which features a tent where teens can hang out during the day with their friends and do some crafts. There's also some workshops," said Susan Divine, Executive Director, Hiawatha Music Co-op
"One of the things we're excited about this year is there's sort of a reunion element to it. We've got some performers that haven't been with us for quite some time and have come back," said Charles Ganzert, Chair on the Music Committee.
Along with the musicians, there will be 27 artisans selling their work and 13 food vendors.
The last day to buy advance tickets is July 9th.
The festival runs July 18th through the 20th.
