High school students showed off the house they built to the public. Juniors and seniors in the Building Trades Program at West Iron County High School worked all year on building an entire house. They held an open house to show off their handy work to friends, family and the people who may want a house built in the future. The home has a finished basement, three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms.
Some students say they'll go into construction partly because of this experience.
"Well it's a very important trade," West Iron County High School Student Collin Leonarduzzi said. "All those kids can benefit from it even if they're not going into the construction field."
After the open house the family will be able to move into their new house whenever they want.
