Historic Home and Business Tour takes place Sunday

History runs deep through Ishpeming and now the history of a few buildings will be in the spotlight for all to see on Sunday.

Presented by the Ishpeming Area Historical Society, the Historic Home and Business Tour will take place on Sunday afternoon from noon until 5 p.m. Tour guides will direct visitors through five different homes and businesses across Ishpeming.

"It's a really great way to be sort of a legitimate voyeur and get a chance to peek inside these businesses or homes that you've driven by and wondered, 'I wonder what that is like inside,'" says David Aeh of the Historical Society.

$10 will get visitors a ticket to tour all five buildings and a map to find all of the buildings. All of the proceeds from the event go back to Historical Society.

Tickets can be bought through Saturday at the Greater Ishpeming Negaunee Chamber of Commerce, the Midtown Bakery and Cafe in Negaunee, and the Main Street Antique Mall in Ishpeming. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event at any of the five buildings located in Ishpeming at 602 N. Third St., 756 Mather Ave., 200 E. Hematite Dr., 107 Canda St., or 200 E. Division St.
