If you've ever been interested in the rich history of Marquette, now's your chance to find out!
The Marquette Regional History Center is hosting their Historic Summer Bus Tours. During the tours, you sit back and enjoy the ride while learning about historic Marquette. Narration of the city as it was in the early days compared to now is done throughout the tour.
"This is a wonderful relaxing way to learn about your local history, and if you're a tourist in the area, it's a great way to get a taste of Marquette and what started Marquette, the people that started Marquette from the homes to the churches to the businesses," says Betsy Rutz of the History Center. "It's a great overall view of the downtown and the historic district."
Tickets are fifteen dollars, and there is limited seating so make sure to call the History Center ahead of time to reserve your spot. Tours are in a Checker Bus, and depart from the History Center.
There are eight tours available throughout July and August.
