The Marquette Regional History Center is putting on a play with money received from a grant.
The center received a $5,000 grant from the Michigan Humanities Council. With the money the center plans to put on Willpower, a play about Marquette in the early 1900s.
"Viewers will really relate to his story they'll be able to see it as inspiration that they can overcome obstacles in their own lives," says author Tyler Tichelaar. "It's going to be a look not just into the story of Will Adams but also rally kind of a step back in time to what old Marquette was like."
The show will run on September 18th and 19th at the Kauffman Theater in Marquette.
