The Marquette Male Chorus is ringing in spring with their annual concert coming Friday May 9. This year the chorus will be performing Hits and Harmonies, songs from the 1950's era. The group has more than a dozen members making up a variety of vocal ranges. They've been practicing these songs once a week through the winter.
"It's going to feature a lot of fun tunes with close harmonies, Elvis, The Everly Brothers, the Coasters," said President of the Marquette Male Chorus Brandon Nelson. "We're going to have a trio featuring songs by Pete Seeger, we're even going to have an audience sing along this year, It's going to be a lot of fun."
The show is Friday May 9 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marquette. Tickets are $8, $5 for seniors and children. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
