The Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees have selected Sherry Arnold as the interim CEO, effective September 28.
Arnold is currently the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Director for the hospital, and she will serve as interim CEO until November 1, when Tanya Hoar takes over as CFO and CEO.
"I want to thank Sherry for agreeing to serve as CEO during this interim period," said SMH Board Chairman Don Perigo. "Sherry has demonstrated strong leadership skills over the years and has earned the respect of the Board of Trustees, SMH management team, and physicians, for her professionalism, strong analytical skills, and work ethic."
Arnold has been working in the health care management for 20 years. She is a graduate of Lake Superior State University, and has been with Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital since 1993.
"I'm honored the board selected me as interim CEO," said Arnold. "We have a strong management team at SMH and highly skilled professional medical practitioners. Our staff work hard at making each and every patient experience a positive one, and I'm proud of that."
