      House fire in Negaunee Township

      Update 9:30 a.m.

      More information has become available on the Negaunee Township fire.

      According to fire officials, the Negaunee Township Fire Department was called out last night to the same residence for a chimney fire.

      Firemen were reported to be on scene until 2:30 a.m., then recalled three hours later.


      Update 8:10 a.m.

      The fire is now reportedly extinguished.

      Firefighters remain on the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.


      Update 7:22 a.m.

      According to TV6's Nikki Davidson, the structure looked to be a total loss.

      When she talked to fire officials on the scene, they said that the call was received at approximately 5:30 a.m.

      Firefighters are still on the scene as the time of this update.

      No injuries were reported at the scene.


      A structure fire has been reported at 130 Maple Ridge Road in Negaunee Township.

      According to reports, the home is fully engulfed. The Negaunee Township Fire Department has two units on the scene.

      The Negaunee City and Marquette Township Fire Departments have been called to assist at the scene with tankers.
