With the MGH Noquemanon Ski Marathon coming up this weekend, what should you be wearing to stay comfortable?
While it will be cold this weekend, folks in the marathon shouldn't wear anything different than they normally would. It is beneficial to test out different types of clothing to see what works best for you, but make sure you find a happy medium so that you are not too cold or too hot.
"A lot of times, people have a tendency to overdress and what happens is you start sweating and the sweat cools and then you are in an even worse situation," said Evan Simula of the Sports Rack in Marquette.
The frigid temperatures also mean that it is wise to cover all of your skin. If you do have exposed skin during the race, be sure to cover it up a product that will help protect against frostbite.
