Restaurant week in Marquette begins this Sunday and restaurant owners are getting ready for a chance to show off their best dishes. All next week select restaurants in Marquette will have fixed prices for lunch and dinner specials. The lunch price is $10 and dinner is $25. Owners say this event is good for those new to the area, or those who are looking to try new foods.
"What I like most is the opportunity for residents to get in and experience some food that maybe they haven't had before at very reasonable prices," said Michelle Butler from Vango's. "All the restaurants have teamed together so there's so many options right now in our association and I think that if people only realized what an opportunity they have here for such good food."
More than a dozen restaurants in Marquette are participating in restaurant week. Thai House, Lagniappe, The Vierling Restaurant, Donckers, Babycakes, Togo's Subs, L'Attitude Cafà & Bistro, Elizabeth's Chop House, Coco's Restaurant, Sweet Water CafÃ, Stucko's Pub & Grill, Vango's, the Northland Pub, Casa Calabria and Das Steinhaus are all involved this year.
