      Intoxicated shooter withdraws guilty plea

      The 55-year-old Menominee man who pled guilty last week to intoxicated used of a firearm, withdrew his plea.

      David Thompson hired a lawyer and submitted a motion to withdraw his plea before sentencing.

      Court documents said he â??failed to appreciate the seriousness of the charges.â?? Also, he did not â??fully understand the consequences of his guilty pleas.â??

      Thompson is facing intoxicated use of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and domestic violence.
