Investigation underway into plane crash that killed four

The investigation is underway in Mackinac County after an airplane crashed, killing four of the five people on board. It happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.

According to the Mackinac County Sheriff's Department, the twin engine Beachcraft encountered difficulty shortly after becoming airborne. The plane crashed on I-75, it flipped over and came to rest on the shoulder of the interstate.

MSNBC.COM identified the pilot as 73-year-old Moshe Menora of Skokie, Illinois. He, along with three of his grandchildren--visiting from Israel--were killed in the crash.

A 13-year-old boy was thrown from the airplane, and he was airlifted to a hospital downstate. His condition has not been released at this time.

The cause of this crash has not been determined yet.
