The Iron Mountain Police Department received a call just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday in reference to a fight, or disturbance, in the area of East B Street and Park Avenue.
As patrol vehicles approached the scene they were advised that the suspect, Brandon Michael Rose, had fled the scene in a vehicle heading west bound. The possible assault victim was seen crawling in the roadway and later crawled into a ditch.
Authorities would locate Rose's vehicle going west bound on East B Street where a traffic stop was attempted. He would then flee the scene going the wrong direction heading towards Washington Street. It was at this time that he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a power pole guy-wire while attempting to turn north onto Washington.
Rose was arrested and lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center and arraigned later in the day.
He was charged with fleeing and eluding third degree, O.W.I. high B.A.C., and driving on a suspended license.
