      Iron Mountain woman injured in traffic crash

      An Iron Mountain woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning following a traffic accident. It happened at 5:18 a.m. at the intersection of Carpenter Avenue and "H" Street.

      Police say a 58-year-old Iron Mountain woman failed to stop at the flashing red traffic signal. She was struck broadside by a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Iron Mountain man.

      The vehicle driven by the woman careened into the Frederick's Floral building causing minor damage. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

      Names have not been released. The woman was ticketed for disregarding the red light.
