An Ironwood man was sentenced after pleading guilty to two separate charges.
Mitchell Burton was originally arrested in February on a concealed firearm charge following a stand-off with the police. Burton was then also arraigned on a charge of assault of an officer following an incident that occurred while he was in jail. Burton pled guilty to both charges.
At his sentencing Tuesday, he was sentenced to a minimum of two years and a maximum of seven and a half years in prison for the weapons charge. For the assault of an officer charge, he was sentenced to three months in jail, but was credited for 178 days served.
