The Ishpeming Armory has been turned into a crafters' paradise for the annual Holiday Craft Show. Friday, crafters were setting up their booths for the show. This is the 30th year for the event and they've lined up more vendors than in recent years, about 32. Organizers say the decision to hold the craft show Friday afternoon and Saturday is no coincidence.
"This is a very good weekend to start your Christmas shopping. As you know, November 15th is a national holiday as far as the men are concerned, so the women are free to shop and it's just an enjoyable evening," said Liz Waters, show organizer.
The Non-Commissioned Officers Club from the National Guard also helps out with the event. They're hoping to see about 1,000 shoppers during the show. The craft show runs until 8:00 Friday night, and then from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ishpeming National Guard Armory.
