Around 100 people turned out to Negaunee to raise awareness for Melanoma. The second annual Just Believe 5k took place Saturday morning at the Negaunee Ice Arena. Participants either walked or ran the route that began and ended at the arena.
The 5k is put on in memory of Jodi Ball who lost her battle to Melanoma one year ago.
"Just to help stop cancer and stuff. Just in general. I came up with the name one day because it has the same initials as my mom's name," said Nathan Ball, son of Jodi Ball.
All proceeds from the event go toward the Just Believe, a non-profit organization. The organization is also in memory of Jodi Ball to help raise awareness of melanoma.
