Kickin' good time available for all

The Northern Michigan University and Marquette Lions Clubs are kicking their way into spring.

They're gearing up for their second annual kickball tournament and raising money for a good cause. Money raised will go to leader dogs for the blind. They're looking for 8 to 10 member teams to sign up by Sunday. Teams will be competing at the Vandament Arena Saturday, April 20, starting at 9 a.m.

"I just remember back in grade school, kickball was the best sport to play, and I know that, as college students, we get really competitive in kickball and it draws a lot of people's attention because it's fun, because it's for a good cause, and it's a great way to chill out before finals or just come make a great donation," said tournament organizer, Sarah Juday.

The cost is $10 per person and that includes a t-shirt. For more information on the tournament, click here or email Sarah Juday at sjuday@nmu.edu.
