Mon, 27 May 2013 05:05:31 GMT — The Ore Dock Brewery in Marquette was "Kickin' the Blues" Saturday. It was an all-day concert that acted as a dual fundraiser. Some of the money raised goes to the Sean Costello Memorial Fund for Bipolar Research named after the Atlanta, Georgia musician who often performed in Marquette. The rest of the money goes to the Daniel Olson Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor of the Ishpeming High School football player who committed suicide last year. Hundreds arrived to show their support. "A lot of people don't know about bipolar disorder and this is a good way to get it out there and for everybody to learn about it at a great community event like this," said Ishpeming High School sophomore Tom Bleau. The Kickin' the Blues fundraiser is expected to become an annual event.
