Students in summer science camp became investigators of a crime scene.
The fourth graders from Kingsford uncovered more evidence as the week progressed, using critical thinking to find the prime suspect. Teacher Luann Lohfink says the kids love crime week because it's up to them to find the suspect.
"Every outcome, every year can be different," said Lohfink. "It's whatever the kids come up with whatever they can conclude with all the evidence that they work with."
This year, crime week received help from Michigan State Police Trooper Geno Basanese. He provided assistance for students about information on fingerprints and DNA results.
