This weekend kids and their families got a chance to go fishing for rainbow trout at Lakenenland in Chocolay Township.
As the kids stood along the shore, they waited to reel in a big one with their fishing poles.
The free event was sponsored by the South Shore Fishing Association. Earlier in the week they planted 150 rainbow trout for kids to catch.
"I caught a baby sun fish. It made me feel good. I'm hoping to catch a trout fish like my friend and, I don't know, try to get it off the hook and throw it back," said Jadyn Hassell.
Lakenenland is also known for its large display of sculptures and for the kids who got tired of waiting to catch a fish, they decided to roam around the park and play.
