Youth services at the Peter White Public Library are giving kids a fun way to get ready for school.
The library hosted a back to school crafts day for kids. Kids could make magnets, stickers, picture frames, and even backpack bling. Youth Services at the library put on the event.
Organizers say they estimated about 50 kids came out to do the crafts.
"We want to keep them coming here during the school year so this is a way for them to associate the library with a fun craft activity which is also getting them ready for school next week," says Sarah Rehborg, youth services librarian. "Being able to go to school with some new bling for your locker or backpack is kind of exciting."
The crafts were free and open to all school age kids. This is the first time this event has been held at the Peter White Library.
