4H members from Marquette, Alger and Delta County gathered at the Marquette County Fairgrounds Tuesday for Pig-A-Palooza.
Pig-A-Palooza is a camp where kids learn about grooming, nutrition and handling for their livestock projects for the State Fair. The 42 campers made pig sticks and pajamas for their lambs, along with time for fun and games.
"They're making new friends, and my biggest thing is making memories, because we have a camp atmosphere so they get to play games too," says 4H leader Mary Devooght. "We have archery, volleyball and plus there are classes."
The second annual camp was a three-day event that started on Sunday and wrapped up Tuesday afternoon. Organizers say next year they hope to hold an Upper Peninsula wide camp at the State Fair Grounds.
