The Kincheloe man involved in the $100,000 windmill fraud was sentenced Friday in Delta County Circuit Court.
Back in April, Billy Lee Parish pled no contest to larceny by conversion of $20,000 or more. Today, Parish was sentenced up to 15 years in prison, serving no less than 48 months.
He was ordered to pay restitution in excess of $24,000.
Parish read a note he wrote to the court, "I'm so very sorry I did what I did to all my friends and family and neighbors. This long stay in prison will remind me every day of the wrong that i did."
Additional fraud cases may be pending for Parish in Iron and Menominee counties.
