For the second year in a row, the Ladies Spring Gala is inviting all women over the age of 21 to wear their favorite dress and enjoy a fun filled evening while raising money for a great cause.
The Mexican-themed event will be held on May 5 from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Only 200 tickets will be sold and they must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $45 each and all proceeds from the event will go to the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home in Calumet. The home gives temporary shelter to victims and their children.
??You just get all dolled up with something you have in your closet. Don??t go buy anything, just find something you haven??t worn since you were on a cruise or since your daughter got married and get all dolled up and come to the ballroom at Tech. We??ll have a lot of wonderful food and great music," said Jeannie Grathoff, coordinator of the event.
Last year??s event raised $1000 and Grathoff is hoping to bring in even more.
A variety of door prizes will be offered so if you??re interested in attending the event or becoming a sponsor, you can contact Grathoff at (906) 523-5465 or stop by Jeannie's Specialty Boutique in Hancock.
