Disc Da UP held a disc golf clinic for women Wednesday evening in Marquette. The ladies learned the proper technique for putting and driving as well as some disc golf etiquette. The clinic was led by disc golf veterans at the Powder Mills Disc Golf Course. Disc Da UP is hoping to create a women's league in the fall. They say this class is the perfect place to start.
"I think they leave knowing that disc golf is a very fun sport; you can start for under $30 and it's great exercise," said Buck Buchanan of Disc Da UP. "Powder Mills Disc Golf Course is a 1.8 mile walk, it's a beautiful thing. It's not only fun, it's a great exercise."
Wednesday's clinic comes just days after the grand opening of the Powder Mills Course. For more information on Disc Da UP, click here.
