Little Brothers raffling off car for $3 tickets

Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly is holding their annual summer car raffle. This year, they have a 2007 Ford Mustang convertible up for grabs.

The raffle has been Little Brothers' most popular fundraiser to date for the last 19 years.

Tickets can be purchased for just $3 each or two for $5, and the organization is hoping to raise about $55,000. All the proceeds will go toward the organization's driving service program, which gives local seniors 60 years and older free rides to and from medical visits.

â??Many people cannot afford a cab. Even though we have good bus service in the area, many people are too infirm or don't get around well enough to use the bus. We also provide door-to-door service for wheelchairs,â?? said Director of Development at Little Brothers, Mark Cinelli.

Tickets can be purchased at Little Brothers office in Hancock, on their website here, or by calling 482-6944. The drawing will take place September 26.
