Little Brothers seek support for senior Easter dinner

Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in Hancock needs the community's help as soon as possible for preparing their Easter dinners.

Little Brothers is putting together their Easter meals for this weekend but are still in need of many items. The Easter dinner is put on for seniors who don't have family nearby or who are alone for the holiday. About 400 volunteers are also needed to serve at the 11 different locations throughout the four county area.

Little Brothers coordinators say they are hoping to get the items they need by Wednesday.

"We need help in all areas," said volunteer coordinator, Cathy Aten. "We're covering Ontonagon County, Baraga County, and then up through Houghton and Keweenaw County, so all locations really need help."

"We would like to have a dinner to celebrate the holidays and keep people from being lonely and coming out to enjoy fellowship together on these special days," said volunteer coordinator, Cynthia Drake.
