Youngsters playing baseball can now take cover from the weather during a game at the Marquette Township Lions Park. It's all thanks to the new dugouts at the baseball field. They received their final touches Friday by Dan Perkins Construction. The company donated the labor to install the metal roofs. The dugouts are just a couple weeks old, and the metal roofs were a one-day project.
"Parks are the way that we found that we can contribute with what we do in our services back to the community," said Dan Perkins, President of Dan Perkins Construction. "Everybody has a talent and everybody has a way to give back to the community; this is just the way we found to be a very effective and efficient way to give back to our community."
The now completed field has been an important project for Marquette Township.
