State Representative Ed McBroom held office hours Friday. Delta county residents were invited to share their concerns regarding local issues.
Office hours are held at least once a month, rotating between three counties: Delta, Menominee and Dickinson.Depending on the current issues, Rep. McBroom typically expects between 6 to 12 residents each session.McBroom is currently working on many bills, some of which include education issues, such as flexibility with graduation requirements, and speed limit control rights. One concern brought to Rep. Mc Broom's attention during the office hours was that of Lake Michigan's water level."Understandably there's some climate issues that are involved with that, but we'd like some more material and data on water that's outgoing out of the lake," says Harold Olson, a Delta County resident.Questions and concerns are not required. Anyone is welcome to come listen during this open door session.
