The man accused in the pre-meditated murder of his girlfriend appeared through a video link in Marinette County Court on Tuesday.
Brent Kaempf is accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend, 45-year-old Trish Waschbisch. According to officials, she died of multiple stab wounds. Waschbisch was the interim director of Rainbow House, a center supporting victims of domestic violence. The couple lived together in Waschbisch's Peshtigo home.
Kaempf appeared via video link from jail with his attorney to set the next court session. The preliminary hearing is set for June 27. At that time, it'll be determined if there's enough evidence against the defendant to go to trial.
