An Engadine man was arrested after a high speed chase with police on Saturday.
Police attempted to stop 37-year-old Robert Frey on US-2 while he was riding an ATV. According to the Michigan State Police, when officers approached Frey's vehicle he took off at a high rate of speed.
Police report that they followed Frey from Gould City to Engadine as he nearly collided with several vehicles and struck a patrol vehicle. The MSP reports that the chase ended when Frey drove the ATV into Millecoquins Lake. A brief stand-off with police occurred before Frey was finally taken into custody, according to authorities.
Frey is being charged with fleeing and eluding and operating under the influence of alcohol. He is currently out on bond.
