A man was arrested after a stand-off with police in the City of Ironwood on Saturday.
According to the Ironwood Public Safety Office a larceny complaint at a Suffolk Street address resulted in a brief stand-off with an unidentified suspect. Police recognized the suspect had an outstanding warrant and was known to be carrying a firearm.
Police report that verbal commands were issued, but the suspect refused to comply. After a short stand-off, he was arrested and found in possession of a 9mm handgun with a magazine of hollow point ammunition.
He was taken to the Gogebic County Jail on initial charges of carrying a concealed firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. His bond has been set at $75,000. The man is not being identified at this time.
