      Man arrested for making threats of terrorism

      The Iron River Police Department has arrested a 36-year-old man on various charges, including making threats of terrorism.

      Anthony Lee Nielsen of Iron River was arrested August 12, and arraigned in Iron County Circuit Court on August 13. In addition to the terrorism related charge, which is a 20-year felony, he was also charged with possession of marijuana and habitual offender, fourth degree.

      Nielson is lodged at Iron County Correctional Facility on a $100,000 cash bond. Iron River Police Department was assisted by the Iron County Sheriff's Department, the Michigan State Police, the Michigan State Police Grayling Bomb Squad and the Michigan State Police K9 unit of St. Ignace.
