The Kingsford man charged with obstructing an officer and a serious domestic violence charge faced sentencing on Tuesday in Dickinson County.
Twenty-seven-year-old Michael Harvala was sentenced to a minimum of two years, maximum of three years for one count of domestic violence and one count of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing an officer. The prosecutor mentioned it was his fourth felony conviction.
"Been on paper since I was 17; never made any effort to change," said Harvala.
The charges stem from a serious assault and a police pursuit in December of last year.
