A Marquette man has been sentenced to 5 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to domestic assault.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 43-year-old Bradley Joseph Hase was sentenced Wednesday. Hase was charged with domestic assault by a habitual offender regarding an incident in November of 2013.
According to the DoJ, Hase assaulted his girlfriend on Keweenaw Bay Indian Community land. He grabbed his girlfriend, a KBIC member, by the neck and throat and pulled out her hair.
The court stated that Hase had been convicted twice before for domestic violence offenses.
U.S. District Judge Robert Holmes Bell ordered Hase to serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
