A 19-year-old Manistique man is in jail, charged with stabbing another man last Friday.
Manistique Public Safety says Jefferson Syers suffered multiple stab wounds and was bleeding profusely when officers arrived. Syers was taken to the hospital and then transferred to Marquette General Hospital.
The 19-year-old suspect fled the scene, but police took him into custody several blocks away.
The suspect is not being named, pending his appearance in court Wednesday morning. He's charged with felonious assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
